Relax in your bath
Looking forward to soaking your sore muscles in a hot bath? Taking a bath is relaxing, and it can reduce stress and physical pain.
Thinking about a traditional bath usually conjures up images of cast-iron tubs with ornate claw feet. It’s thought, however, that the first bath was a 5-feet (1.5m) tub made of pottery.
How to select a bath
Which bath suits your bathroom design best?
- For small bathrooms consider a straight or shower bath. Straight baths come in single or double ended varieties.
- Complement your straight bath with a stylish bath panel; or check out our range of bath screens if you’re installing a shower bath.
- For a traditional or classic look, browse our range of roll tops baths. Some models have luxurious claw feet, while others have a slightly sleeker styling.
- For a designer look or hotel chic, consider a freestanding bath – with or without feet.
The most popular materials for baths are acrylic and pressed steel enamel.
The acrylic bathtubs we stock are made from high grade double skinned acrylic – this is a relatively light, but hardwearing material.
Pressed steel baths are made by “firing” an enamel layer on pressed steel. Steel is lighter than cast-iron; and the enamel layer is durable.
